Job Summary

The customer support representative for general matters serves customers by providing product and service information and by resolving product and service problems. These representatives assist customers in making cost-effective decisions and guide customers in the correct use of a product. Representatives’ duties include assistance in planning, installation, billing, upgrading, and disposal of any company product. Representatives should be able to answer clarify and identify customers’ issues, determine the cause of a problem, and select and explain the best solution to the problem. Representatives should also remain professional, courteous, and personable when interacting with customers.

 Major Duties

  • Providing introductory information to new customers
  • Ensuring that customers are satisfied with products or services
  • Following up with clients or customers to check that they’re still satisfied with any purchases
  • Letting customers or clients know about additional products or services
  • Determining the quickest, most effective ways to answer a client’s or customer’s questions
  • Escalating queries and concerns
  • Working with a team of CSRs and other departments to find appropriate solutions
