Aeneas is expanding its Xlink Broadband service area throughout 2009!
Xlink Broadband is our most affordable bundled Internet and telephone service, with Internet speeds up to 20 MB in some areas for residential services. And even higher speeds for businesses! Aeneas has been introducing Xlink Broadband all over West Tennessee, with the service already in Dyersburg, Trenton, Milan, Humboldt, Jackson, Henderson and Lexington. Bolivar will have services beginning in October, and Paris by the end of the year. And there are more cities to come all over West Tennessee next year!
Aeneas Receives Civic Pride
Award - July 2009
Aeneas Internet and Telephone has received the Civic Pride Award in recognition of its contributions to the enrichment of Jackson, Tennessee. This is the third time Aeneas has been honored with this award (2006,2008,2009).
Gary Williams Named Vice President of Sales - October 2008
Gary Williams is the new Vice President of Sales for Aeneas Internet and Telephone. Williams is the former Director of Charter Business for Tennessee and Louisiana, and has close to a decade of experience managing sales and business development for the cable giant. During his tenure at Charter Business Williams had a staff of 50 people reporting to him and managed a 36 million dollar operation. Williams has managed Sales and Engineering teams in New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, West Virginia, Tennessee and Louisiana. He was named the Young Gun Award Winner by the West Virginia Executive as one of the State’s top young business leaders. He earned his RCDD, Registered Communications Distribution Designer Certification from BICSI for showing expertise in the design and implementation of structured cable systems. He has also won numerous sales awards, constantly leading the nation in team sales for new telephone subscribers.
In his role at Aeneas, Gary will be focusing on business development, particularly expanding Aeneas commercial business inventory.

Aeneas Internet and Telephone has been named to Inc magazine’s Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing companies in the United States. The Inc. 5,000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2004 through 2007. “The Inc. 5000 gives an unrivalled portrait of young, underreported companies across all industries doing fascinating things with cutting-edge business models, as well as older companies that are still showing impressive growth," said Inc. 5000 Project Manager Jim Melloan.

Aeneas Wins Pinnacle Award - February 2008
Aeneas won The Pinnacle Award given annually by the Jackson Area Chamber for Business Excellence. The Pinnacle Award has become known as a prestigious awards event to recognize business excellence in the community. They are a symbol of success, with judging criteria based on history and growth of the company, customer service, employee satisfaction and community involvement. Aeneas won in the service category for businesses with 15-49 employees.

Aeneas Internet and Telephone has been named to BusinessTN magazine’s Hot100 list of companies fast growing companies. These are “the companies enriching Tennessee’s local and regional economies, providing jobs, and fueling the Volunteer State’s entrepreneurial culture” according to the magazine.
In the December 2007 issue, BusinessTN characterizes Aeneas Internet and Telephone as a company now beyond the startup years that continues to grow at an above average rate and is laying the foundation for long-term sustainability.

Aeneas Provides Free Wireless Internet for Downtown Jackson - September 2007
Aeneas Internet and Telephone is proud to provide free high-speed wireless Internet for downtown Jackson. The wireless network
allows users to log in to the Internet in any of the public areas downtown, including the Farmer’s Market and the area parks. Access to
the network will be available to anyone with WiFi capable laptops and telephones for free. No public money or Jackson Downtown
Development Corporation money will be spent on this network, Aeneas is providing the network as a free service to the community.

Aeneas Recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine - August 2007
Aeneas Internet and Telephone has been named to Entrepreneur magazine’s annual “Hot 500” list of 2007’s fastest growing businesses.
Entrepreneur and the Corporate Research Board chose the top 500 fastest growing businesses from a pool of 95,000 finalists.
Finalists were chosen based on criteria such as foundation date, company sales growth, and positive job growth. Aeneas Internet and Telephone
is ranked at number 343 out of 500.
